the care of and development of students with SEND needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SEND department also assists colleagues in other areas to ensure as full as integration of SEND students into mainstream lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We work across all three Key Stage areas.&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Key Stage 3 \u2013 There are two Access Classes (one in each of Year 8 and Year 9), with a maximum of 12 students and an Access Class Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in each class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key Stage 4 \u2013 the focus is on in class support for SEND students and small group support including supporting core subjects and revision for exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key Stage 5 \u2013 Support continues for those students who choose to stay on with us in Sixth
