Ramjas School & Droitwich Spa High School
Cultural Exchange & Himalayan Expedition

The successful, long-established partnership between DSHS and Ramjas School (R.K. Puram, New Delhi) is a celebration of what is most exciting about school life.  It has succeeded because of the the hard work, enthusiasm and determination of staff and students involved during life of the international link between our schools.  It is the longest running British Council sponsored schools partnership, well over a decade!  The latest expedition in October 2018 was a great success, with students and staff travelling to New Delhi and onto the Himalayas, furthering the school partnership and developing friendships old and new.  A regular feature in both schools’ calendars, the expedition is an absolute highlight for those lucky enough to take part.  With truly breath taking scenery, trekking in the himalayas is a magical, once in a lifetime event.  The cultural exchange of DSHS students staying with Ramjas students and their families opens the door into understanding each others culture, traditions and heritage and is the foundation on which long lasting friendships are born.  The opportunity to tick off a wonder of the world adds to the event, with the Taj Mahal being a real prize on most bucket lists.  A stunning piece of architecture and a spiritual destination makes the trip down one of those days to remember.
